Heya!
It has been quite a long time I haven't updated my part 2 guide, I have some time since summer vacation is here, so why not update the whole saga by creating a third part? This guide compiles the love yourself albums and the map of the soul one.
Edit of 20th Oct.2019: Oops I delayed a bit too much the launching of the third article but here we go!

Please do not forget to check out part 1, part 2 and "how to spot a fake signed kpop album", this guide is not complete without the other two articles.

Part 1 contains 1st explanation + albums from 2 COOL 4 SKOOL until HYYH pt.2.
Part 2 contains Young Forever to You Never Walk alone

Little reminder of part 1:
The signature order IS and IS ALWAYS:
Top left: Jin ; Top center: Rapmonster ; Top right: Suga ; Middle left: V ; Middle right: Jimin ; Bottom left: J-Hope ; Bottom right : Jungkook.
ALWAYS THAT ORDER.

LOVE YOURSELF: HER

Onto the 2018 album, which contains the famous DNA and Mic drop which enhanced BTS's international popularity. Fakes have been floating a lot on websites, and seem to be on ebay the ones that were sold. Well here again a little comparison of real vs fakes that I've encountered, updated with a lot of delay since I no longer buy them myself LOL.

1. The pen pressure is exactly the same throughout all of the signatures. Suga's signature is the one that is the most off looking, as it normally currently doesn't have the middle scribble, which looks very unnatural here. Jimin's upper part of the signature is usually more curved, here the curve is too "sharp". V's signature with the curves are done in a weird way and have lost their usual "trajectory".

2. The signatures are way too small, too far away from the borders, the pen pressure is the same for all of the signatures, which really shows that it was signed by only one person.

3. Same as above.

4.It looks like a little girl who had a dying pen trying to mimic all of the signatures. Pen pressure is the same everywhere, not well located signatures, and details of the usual signatures have been lost.

5.Same pen pressure, signatures seem to have been stretched out more than usual and have lost their normal characteristics. RM's signature has been the most known for being constant, but here the curves and strokes are hardly achieved.

Thank you for understanding! Feel free to comment, it is always nice to know that this article was of some use and that I didn't waste my time writing this for nothing (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

Hello!
Some of you may be confused why a second part exist and why I cannot simply mash everything into one article, but due to the amount of pictures, loading as become very slow, and editing has become a bit trickier because there are so many things that make my computer become slow! Not only that, but I believe that many of you perhaps would face issues loading the images if you have a slow internet, so for the sake of you and me this will be split in two, and perhaps in other parts in the years to come. This way I can also provide more examples (whether it's older or newer albums) as well as BTS picture proofs with the signed items in question! (at this point BTS must think I am a stalker searching anything related to them and their signed album but no it was pure luck whenever I found stuff related to it :p)

Please do not forget to check out part 1 and "how to spot a fake signed kpop album", this guide is not complete without the other two articles.

Part 1 contains 1st explanation + albums from 2 COOL 4 SKOOL until HYYH pt.1.

Also little joke to myself, part 2 I guess will be signed albums I won't collect, too pricey for me ;~; Although I won't collect, I still like admiring these signed albums *A* maybe one day if the prices go down.....

YOUNG FOREVER

Now onto the "special" album that closes the serie HYYH!
Sadly I do not own any of those signed Young Forever ): The price is above 150$ shipped and I do not wish to spend that much for an album  ;____; I'd feel way too bad about it! /dies/
Well some of you out there, who have the $$$$$, this will be useful to you!

Let's analyze:

1. The signatures are all over the place, this is a first hint that this is a big NO. BTS will never sign like that all over the place, NEVER. The signatures look nothing like their usual ones, and the pen pressure is the same = signed by the same person.

2. Here I compiled two albums which were signed by "one signature", so one album had V's signature and the other one had Jungkook. There are no albums during this era signed by one member only, as there were no mwave or anything of the genre. So if the album was signed on the cover it must be signed by all members. The signature looks very off as well.

3. It exists signed posters thanks to the KBS contest, but this is certainly not one of them! The signature of V here is the one V signed on the photocard, however V only signed his special signature on the photocard of Young Forever, however for the rest of the promotions he used his usual signature. So the fact that the scammer tried to copy the signatures of the photocards.... big giveaway, because they usually don't really signed the same way as the photocard's signature. Same pen pressure, and signatures look off. Looks signed  by same person.

4. The signatures are way too small, and the pen pressure looks the same. Seems like it was signed by a girl who took her time to sign carefully.

5. Signatures are sooooo ugly, same pen pressure, and the pen looks may too thick and dark. The signatures are not well positioned and are too different.

Let's go:
1. Same as the n.1 of day version, it was signed by the same seller. Signatures are all over the place and not well located. Normally J-Hope's signature doesn't have the "hope" readable, it is eliminated nowadays.
2. Same as n.3 of the day version, it was signed by the same seller. No poster signing with gold pen. And a chinese seller = 99.9% is fake.
3. The signatures are way too big, badly aligned, and too different from the right ones. "BTS" is usually no longer added onto their signatures, as their signature as been simplified with time. The fact is the scammer tried to copy their old signature, which ends up looking very odd.
4. The signatures are too small, and look signed by the same person, perhaps a girl who took her time to sign carefully, but then signatures look different as well from the right ones. Although the location is correct, which shows the person did make an effort to copy, they are way too neat, and don't look like BTS's normal ones.

Bonus: V signing the album and giving it to Minjae

Bonus: BTS showing off the several signed Young Forever albums + poster for KBS

Wings

Sadly it seems that as time passes, grabbing a genuine signed album is trickier due to less signed genuine albums circulating around. I myself have given up on collecting signed albums ever since Young Forever since the prices skyrocketed (downsides of having your faves being too popular) but regardless will continue on admiring from my computer's screen those signed albums and share my advices to the community. (Psssst Big Hit if you happen to read my article, could you donate to me the signed BTS albums of Young Forever and Wings? /dies/ *being very shameless*)

Alright so let's start! Sadly due to limited resources, I was obliged to take a lot of the genuine pictures from a certain seller (hand *cough* doll *cough* maker) as it seems apart from that seller nobody seems to have this signed album! (I didn't manage to find people like pdogg who could have received the album as a gift - hopefully more will be circulating in the future and I will edit this article)

Albums were either signed in white or black pen.

Let's go onto the analysis, WINGS had plenty of fake signed!:

1. The signatures are just all over the place, you can be sure something is wrong, BTS has never signed all over the place, even when they are tired they keep their same spot. The signatures look nothing like theirs.

2. Although it is hard to grasp really the state of the signatures, just from the first look you can see something is wrong: the signatures are signed on the pages, however this is something that only happens during fansigns. And during fansigns, you need it to be signed to the person's name. Hence regardless of the signature, it cannot be genuine.

3. The product was displayed showing several pages signed and I just gathered them together. The signatures look all signed by the same person: same hand pressure. The signatures look way too different from the ones of the back of their photocard or from the ones I displayed as genuine on the right.

4. The WINGS albums were never signed on the back. Members have a specific assigned spot and it was not respected here. The pen pressure is the same, which strongly hints that this was signed by the same person. The signatures don't match the ones on the real albums and are hardly recognizable.

5. Same as above.

6. Same as above.

7. Here the signatures were signed inside the booklet, first hint that is not genuine as the signatures are on the front cover. Signatures look too detailed, as if the scammer wanted to copy their debut signatures (and he was pretty bad at it). Same pen pressure, surely signed by the same person.

8. The signatures were signed in gold color, as of now none have been signed in any other color than white or black, so any color signed in another color will raise suspicions. The signatures they copied were ones of the debut album, however within the past 3-4 years, BTS's signatures have drastically changed to become much more simplified and not as detailed. Position of jungkook's signature as well is too deviated from its original spot, it should be more towards the bottom right corner.

9. The signatures are way too big and have covered almost all of the album cover. They are scribbled that they have lost all of the original signatures look.

11. The scammer tried to copy BTS's debut signatures, so it looks very weird here. All of the details such as "BTS" or parts of BTS' stage name has been added, but they look so unnatural that the result is very awkward. Pen pressure is the same, which shows it has been signed by the same person. Furthermore signature location has not been respected (J-hope would never sign in the bottom middle).

12. Signatures have been not badly imitated, however the signature lacks several aspects. Jimin's signature is way too squished looking vertically, it has lost its vertical dimension. Suga's signature is located too low, and is looking very awkward and doesn't look curved and swift as usual.

Hopefully (well not really hopefully because it's bad to see so many fakes circulating around) I will be able to manage to find more examples to show more variations.

Bonus: Suga showing on Mnet a signed album during the fanmeet.

WINGS: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE YNWA

YES I JUST RIGHT INTO THIS NEW ERA. Well it seems like Big Hit likes to follow SM's steps (SM's tactic for its older groups of course) going like that, releasing an album and then afterwards a repackage (well I shouldn't be complaining too much, like that at least BTS still continues to have its two comebacks per year although it's less songs per year ;~;).

Onto the repackage album:

1. Although BTS's signatures have become much more simplified and messier that they used to be, they continue nevertheless to sign in their specific spots. Jungkook's spot is too far from his usual bottom right corner, the signatures also look bigger than usual. The pen pressure looks the same for everyone's signature, and seems done by the same person. Jimin's one looks the most different from his usual if you compare.

2. Here the signatures seem more all over the place and don't respect their designed places. The signatures look nothing from the usual way they look. Jhope's current simplified signature doesn't even have the 'hope' anymore. The rest are simply unrognizable.

3. This is a typical fake "fansign" album that many chinese sellers try to sell. With a signature on one of each pages, which is impossible before they cannot just sign the pages and not sign "To: PERSON NAME". Please read my other articles about that.

4. Actually fourth example is the same as 1st, I didn't see that and will try to edit that soon.

Onto the mint version:

1. The signatures seem way too simplified, and pen pressure looks obviously the same for every signatures. It is signed by the same person. The signatures also don't fully respect their assigned spot, they are too near the center.

2. The signatures are all over the place and do not respect the assigned spot. Signature differ way too much from the real one and it is almost impossible to recognize who is who.

So there you go, I have tried to analyze BTS's signatures. This just shows that there's too many scammers out there and we need to be cautious. This took quite some time to write, so I would appreciate if you would not plagiarize this out of respect ♥ All pictures were taken from various platforms, I do not own the pictures apart from a few that come from my collection. Otherwise they belong to their rightful owners. I will surely update this article if there's any new informations, if you feel like some of the stuff I wrote are wrong, and for future comebacks, as I am sure the boys' signature will continue to evolve! I hope this will help out some fellow ARMYs ~

Feel free to comment, it is always nice to know that this article was of some use and that I didn't waste my time writing this for nothing (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

Hello~ seeing how helpful my BTS article was, I decided to write one about SEVENTEEN, a group that is getting more and more popular day by day, especially among the international fandom. I initially wanted to write about Vixx and EXO, but those two seem a bit trickier for some reasons. I might one day but who knows. I managed to find quite some examples for SEVENTEEN of fake albums. Unlike the BTS article, this won't be as detailed as I am not a fan of SEVENTEEN, and it won't be updated as much! I just am going to use my eyes to spot the genuinity and gathering a comparison for people out there. (I guess I should thank radiography classes for making my eyes even sharper?) BUT to start off, please read my other article name "How to spot a fake signed kpop album" because this will be the basis of everything. Once you are done reading that article, please read this one. I won't be repeating things such as COA certificate or Bimae stickers so please read it!

SEVENTEEN doesn't really have an attributed order for where they sign on the album. However, typically when they sign a batch they will apply the same order, usually for mwave albums they will keep the same positions. While for "promotional use" albums that they give to broadcast it is usually messier and they change the position.

Thanks to the fact that so far they have done mwave meet&greet (apart for the Love&letter repackage album) you can find a number of their signed albums floating on various platforms. Given the fact that SEVENTEEN is rising so much in popularity, this is the perfect opportunity for scammers to forge fake signatures and make money. So being cautious is important!

1st mini album: 17 Carat

As this is their debut album, the signatures will look quite different from one album to another, especially for promotional ones, as they are new to the business and still haven't gotten the hand to sign exactly the same. Signatures will look clean and pretty and extremely similar to their "official" ones which you can find for instance on the back of the photocard set of the album.

I had quite a hard time with the "promotion" silver stickers ones because many out there seemed to be not genuine in my eyes as the signatures look so different, but I am guessing that they look fishy as they just started out signing and their signatures might be wonky and they haven't found the flow yet. (I find the mwave ones sooooo much easier to just spot right away!!) I am guessing that they first started signing promotional albums first, and then by the time they had to sign for mwave they became pretty much regular with how they signed.

The mwave ones were all member signed and about 1000 copies were sold, as Pledis limited the number of albums sold.

The 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th picture of the legit signed albums are mwave albums. They usually follow the order of from left to right:
1st row: Woozi, S. coups, Jun
2nd row: The8, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Jeonghan
3rd row: Dino, DK, Seungkwan
4th row: Vernon, Joshua, Hoshi

Okay, onto a quick analysis!
1. The writing takes too much space, too airy, the pen used seems too thin. The overall feeling is just 100% off.
2. The pen pressure seems the same, as it seems that only one person has signed it all. The signatures are way too different from their "official" ones on their photocards, usually rookies have signatures extremely close to their "official" ones.
3. The pen pressure seems the same. If you compare many signatures look different as for the flow, for instance the8's signature usually has a lighter pen pressure on the part of the "8".
4. Once again many things look off, for instance Vernon's " r " in his signature is in cursive normally, here it isn't. He also signs his name below and not on the right. The handwriting of many members doesn't fit.
5. The signatures are oddly too small. Seungkwan's "B" is very odd, too round? It is way too cleanly done, with the same pen pressure almost. Handwriting doesn't match, Joshua's Korean handwriting and other fellow member's is different. The Korean handwriting is the same.

2nd mini album: Boys Be Hide&Seek

This time promotional albums are easier to figure out as to whether they are genuine or not, as their signatures stabilized and are no longer as shy or clumsy looking.

There was a meet&greet which was limited in sales once again, however this time it was one member signed however some people were randomly selected to receive an all signed one.

HIDE ver.

Onto a quick analyzis:
1. The signatures are out of the frame which is very uncommon. They usually try to avoid to sign outside the frame whenever they can, but this seemed to have been deliberately done. Pen pressure looks the same. Signatures look off.
2. Signatures are taking too much space, are not corresponding and too round. Pen pressure is the same.
3. This person was doing a careful job in trying to copy well the signatures. However several things look off. The signatures look a bit too clean. Vernon's "V" ends too quickly, he would normally make it long and last. Hoshi's signature (the bottom right in case you forgot), is way too cleanly done and has a pen pressure way too strong. The face of the character is too round?

SEEK ver.

Analysis once again! Sadly I couldn't find a lot of examples for that one, but will try to update if ever I find more in the future.
1.Once again as mentioned for Hide ver., the signatures are outside the frame, same comment as 1. of hide ver.
2. What triggers our curiosity on this one is the fact that the signatures are on the BACK of the album which I have never seen any genuine copies signed at the back for this album? The pen pressure looks the same and many signatures are off.

1st Album: Love&Letter

The meet&greet was no longer limited in sales. It is still one member signed however there is no longer random selection for an all signed album, bummer! You would get and elusive photocard... Hence all signed ones are most likely "promotional" ones with the silver Komca sticker and perhaps you might find some coming from special events which I don't know since I don't follow and I am just here to compare the signatures.

LOVE ver.

Here is the analysis:
1. The same pen presuyre, the lack of more "details" of the signatures is a big giveaway. For instance for Vernon, the "non" part is almost unreadable.
2. The pen pressure is the same. The signatures look off. Especially Hoshi's signature, the "face" part looks so squished and it doesn't even look like a face anymore.
3. The pen pressure is the same, they don't sign inside the booklet. The signatures look way too off.

LETTER ver.

Once again the analysis:
1. The signatures look way too off. Pen pressure is the same. Other things we can see is for instance that for this album, Joshua will sign diagonally. What is wrong for instance: Dino's signature is lacking the "o". Vernon's "n" is spreading too far, which is abnormal.
2. The signatures are too airy and too cursive. Just comparing with the right and you'll see how different it is. Plus there are no genuine signed albums with the inside of the booklet "blue part" signed.
3. Same as 2.

1st Album Repackage: Love&Letter

No meet&greet this time!
The signatures got quite messy!

CURRENTLY FINDING MORE PICTURES.
Update 17.5.29 : Hello! This seventeen article will be updated during summer vacation. Sorry for not updating ever since last September when it was created!

Pictures were taken from various platforms, apart from several 17carat genuine signed albums, they belong to their rightful owners and all credits to them!
Feel free to comment but please do not ask me whether a signed album is genuine or not. I do not have time to analyze the legitimacy of each album. Please read my other articles, they will surely help you out in your quest of finding out whether a signed album is genuine or not.

Hello~ Here I am again with another article related to signed things (you guys would think I have no life and only care about signed goods hmmm?), well hopefully Google will help me out and let the candid people on the net know more about the high possibility of a signed photo (or even photocard!) being fake, not genuine, forged, whatever you want to call it. Basically not your favorite group signing it...

WHEN I TALK ABOUT SIGNED PHOTO, I am NOT talking about printed signed photos but "pen" signed. In fact some people even asked others if a certain photo/photocard with a printed signature is genuine, asking the signature is genuine.... *facepalm* oh pleaseeeee. A printed signature is not difficult to see! The texture, the look of it.... Usually printed signatures are much thinner, cleaner, and just look printed. On photocards, in majority of the case when they exist they are on the back of the photocard but they can be as well on the front for promotional photocards (such as I believe INFINITE's Pepsi photocards?). Just search on google the photocard you wonder whether is pen signed, if every photocards you see also have that signature: it is printed. Easy no? A little research doesn't hurt.

So to start off! You are on eBay, searching a bit randomly on this vast website and *drumroll* you land on your ultimate favorite group's "supposed" signed photo! It looks beautiful, it is not too expensive, you jump on it.... Is it genuine....? Chances are... Well no... Why is that?

Unlike signed albums where some of them are genuine due to the fact that idols sign them on several occasions: mwave, broadcast promotion, fansigns etc. Photos.... Aren't really signed!
Mwave doesn't propose any signed photos for sale (but they do have signed Polaroids for top supporters but that's another story), they don't sign - well in my knowledge- photos for broadcast purpose, and in fansigns.... Well they don't as well!

You will often see sellers state as the provenance of their signed photos: fansigns. But did you actually know that in fansigns you can't let them sign anything? Your favorite plushie, they can't sign it for you. Idols are asked to sign the albums, and only their assigned page... Sometimes they will sign as well the photocard included in the album... But not all idols will do that! More nugu groups will do that - due to less strict staff- such as Boys Republic have signed photocards if you requested them to do so, some groups did in the past (like sign hearts etc) but no longer due because the staff got really strict with that, and some simply never did- for instance I believe SM groups have never done so due to SM being stricter. Anyway, at the end, photos simply won't be signed.

As for photocards, you'd have to do your own research as of whether that particular group you are interested in did/does sign photocards. It could be fansign related or event related. An example would be that in the first press albums of BTS's ORUL82, signed photocards would be inserted randomly in those first press albums. So you would have the chance to obtain a signed photocard of the member in question on the back of it. The signature was pretty thick in dark pen. So do some research! Googling about it and whether someone did an Unboxing and found out that their photocard ended up signed! Another more recent event was ASTRO's "Spring Up", although it's not really a photocard but more a postcard, in first press albums there were inserted randomly signed postcards and those were signed on the back by one member. There are many events done usually during first press to encourage people to preorder - as first press is the first batch to get sold. It's all a selling strategy! So you wouldn't expect a popular group - or one of the big 3: SM, YG, JYP- to do that as they don't need a bait to make people purchase, people will purchase anyway!

And let's suppose in this ideal world, in this imaginary world that idols DID sign photos during fansigns, which is not he case may I remind you- the color of the pen would not be of gold color, in huuuuge majority of times they use black pen (a quick look to their fansigns fan taken pictures and you will see that the pen they are holding is.... Black!). Many of the signed photos on eBay are signed with golden color, the favorite color of Chinese scammers eh!

Another thing to check out is: do the signatures match their official ones? You can check out on google and compare whether the signatures have similarities, you can for instance as well add the year of the era of the signed photo to be more accurate, for instance "SHINee 2013 signatures". Some groups can have vast changes of signatures throughout the years so searching the year as well is important! You have to be your own inspector.

You also have to think... A signed photo, especially from a popular group like EXO or BTS will never be "cheap". Anything signed by EXO is usually above 100$, and BTS is ~usually~ above 50$ - but it depends what that is. If you see an all member signed photo of EXO for 20-30 mere dollars.... You can be almost sure this is not genuine. Because having EXO sign an item is very rare, and they don't really sign on many occasions.

But do not fret! Signed pictures do exist but exist in very rare occasions. Two examples which I remember on the top of my head are the ones of the first press signed photos for HYYH pt.1 of BTS and BAP Japanese stop of BAP live tour (2015?) AWAKE signed photos sold at the merch booth. (Please do not butcher me if I am wrong for BAP.... I do not really follow them that much...)

Just do some R.E.S.E.A.R.C.H. do not blindly buy something without double checking the provenance. If someone says "I got it from a fansign" or from somewhere else, will you instantly believe him? Use some common sense, people LIE. Imagine some adult comes and says "Your mom asked me to pick you up", would you instantly get inside because of the fact that this speech is credible? Do you know the person? If you do not know the person then you don't go! If I were saying "I got it signed during their concert"when selling a signed photo, will you just blindly buy it because is reason seems credible? I could lie, and have forged the signatures myself.

Hence some questions you can ask yourself:

1. Where does it come from?
2. From which event does it come from?
3. How many were available?
4. Do other people have this sort of signed photo?
5. Do the signatures look similar to the "official" ones online?

A little example of some knowledge I gathered, not that I wanted to buy one because I don't collect such things, but during the release of HYYH pt.1 of BTS, there were several hundreds of signed photos inserted randomly in the first press of that album. You could get one member photo, 2 members, 3 members etc, and the signature of the members involved in that photo would be on the back of the photo. The pen they used were of color, there were red, orange pen etc.... So imagine there was V and Jungkook  on one picture, their signatures would be on the back.
Not everyone who had the first press would get that special signed photo. You needed to be lucky (I wasnt lucky because I am the queen of bad luck /dies/). The pictures would be of the HYYH pt. 1 concept (sort of flowery).

So let's take an example. Someone is selling a signed photo of V on a tree (totally matching the HYYH pt.1 concept), in the back there is his signature with red pen, the person claims to have found it in her album, the signature matches his "official" one (more or less). Chances are that this is probably genuine!
However imagine an eBay listing, it's the HYYH pt.1 concept image, all members signed on the front with golden marker and the seller claims to have it from a broadcast company, signatures are too thick to really know and you are too good at spotting their signatures yet. Does it seem genuine to you? No! It's probably not genuine due to what I said beforehand.

Alright I hope that you have learned the lesson about signed photos and to avoid purchasing them unless you know they come from a certain event. People saying they can order them signed are most likely scammers! Because you can't certainly order "signed" photos even through contacts because signed photos are simply not a thing! Sorry for the messiness of this article, it is a sort of mashed photos/photocards although I addressed more photos because people seem to purchase those signed photos and they are the ones more "circulating" around.

Hello!

I am here once again with another blog entry, this time this will be about Komca stickers and Kpop items from non-Korean press! Komca stickers always have been a mystery for many people and there's no real valid source about them. I have made assumptions about the difference about C1, C2 and C3 stickers and have contacted a reliable source (mwave) to confirm those assumptions, which revealed to be accurate!

Items with Komca Stickers

Items with Komca stickers will ONLY be Korean press items. If your item does not have a Komca sticker do not fear! (It may be a japanese press album for instance) The Komca sticker is used to prove the Korean authenticity of the album, only Korean press items will use the Komca sticker, so Taiwanese, Japanese, Thai etc. won't have that famous Komca sticker. The Komca sticker will prove the authenticity of the album (but not necessarily the CD itself, I am unsure, but imagine the album is sold unsealed and that the person is bad enough, he may switch the CD inside and trade it with a bootleg, I believe this something that may happen if you purchase from an unsealed album from a Chinese seller as there are many bootlegs produced in China....), so it proves the authenticity of the packaging! However, even if the item is a korean press one, it may not always have a komca sticker, that is usually the case for DVDs, as it seems they tend to give more komca stickers to cd albums. HOWEVER, some cd albums may come without any komca sticker, this is the case for The Ark's "The Light" single album, which comes with no Komca sticker. So you must look through unboxing videos or pictures of the album you own that has no komca sticker and see whether other people have it. If nobody has the komca sticker, then you're all good! But if everyone has the komca sticker, that yours doesn't, and it states it is a korean press "made in KOREA", then it would be probable it is not an authentic album.

But...! There are different stickers that exist: the legendary silver sticker "비매 (Bimae)" with along the side a "NOT FOR SALE" sticker (or the "Not for sale" could be directly be printed onto the album) - no barcodes exist for such albums! Those stickers are made for the press, given to the staff of broadcast stations or are used during a giveaway or something along the lines, basically used when those are gifts!

Then we have the golden sticker, but there are actually several, not just the C1 sticker! The number following the C indicates the number of discs inside the packaging. Hence, normal albums usually have 1 disc, but special edition albums (such as repackage albums) may have several discs, or DVD packages of concerts (or whatever) that may have 2-3 discs. So If the item has 2 discs inside, it will have a C2 sticker, if it has 3discs, it will have a C3 sticker. But not all DVD packages may have a Komca sticker, it really depends on whether the company wants it or not, so it's very tricky! For instance for BTS's DVD, some DVDs have the C3 sticker and some don't, for instance NOW BTS in Thailand doesn't have a Komca sticker, and BTS MEMORIES OF 2014 has one. So it's just.... very odd!

The lettering's color of the C1 sticker's number will be adapted to the album's esthetic, as we can see the yellow lettering for the yellow one, or a blue lettering for the blue albums, gray lettering for a gray album, black lettering for a black album and so on. There is no place that exists to check whether the code of the Komca sticker does suit its album.

I have contacted mwave and what said above is correct, here is their answer:

Dear Customer, Hello this is Mwave. Thank you for inquiry. Komca Sticker C1,C2,C3 means, the number of CDs If you have one CD, you will get C1. for two cds, you will get C2 attached on the back of the album. and so on. Please let us know for further questions. Best. Mwave.

However, this rule seems to be NOT always applied, I have seen that the BTS DVD ON STAGE has a C1 sticker yet it has 3discs, which is very odd. Hence I have contacted btsofficialshop's Q&A concerning this issue (Detective Lassy here!), but it may be that some companies have used the wrong sticker (so no fretting!). You just have to check whether this mistake was applied to every other same items. But in general the rule stated by Mwave is true. So technically, the rule is applied majority of times, but I believe if your album was suppose to have a C2/C3, and it has a C1, it could be because the company doesn't have enough C2/C3 stickers (C1 stickers are more produced than the two others) and they have put a C1. Like mass production of an album could result in shortage of the C2/C3 sticker and the companies just use whatever they have left on their hands.

As you may see circled in different colors, there are 2 discs each time, and all those packages have the C2 sticker, which does respect the rule.

Here we have the C3 sticker, the first example I couldn't see the part where it stated the contents, however we can surely guess that there are 3 discs in it. As or the last example, it could have been tricky as we would say "hey but it says disc 1 and disc 2, where is the third one?" well the third one comes from CD1, so basically the DVD1, DVD2 and CD1 make 3discs, we got the good count!

There, I hope the mystery about Komca stickers has been resolved to some of you. The pictures taken do not belong to me, they were taken from eBay and belong to their rightful owner and were just used as examples.

Items with no Komca Stickers

Anything that is not Korean press will NOT have a Komca sticker, whether it is a japanese, taiwanese, thai or any sort of press.  Japanese albums usually come as jewel case CD containers unless they are special packages for DVDs, concerts or whatever. But Japanese albums just for music are usually jewel cases. I have taken some pictures of Japanese CDs I own and circled the area where it states it was produced in Japan. Most of the information is written at the back of the album, and it could be located at the bottom, the right side, or any corner basically. Usually it also comes (when sealed) with a small paper that was inserted on the left corner of the jewel case (the opposite side of where we open), and that info is once again there, but we usually throw away that paper of course.

The fact is there are several albums out there that are produced with different countries press, and they can look totally the same. For instance, the album Mad horizontal version by Got7 looks almost the same Korean press or Taiwanese press (the Thai press is different, the size of the album is more squarish). So you'd have to look into details to spot which press it comes from. As a result, many people without knowing which press they purchased may think they purchased a non authentic copy as there's no komca sticker.

The two albums look almost the same right? Without comparing we wouldn't really know what is different. Here the bar code's location is different. But the most important element is the lower part where it states where it was printed. Sadly the pictures I provided are not of the best quality for smaller details (First picture Korean press is my album- sadly my phone doesn't want to cooperate to take better pictures, and the second picture comes from eBay, and it was the only seller that posted a clear enough image). On the Korean press, it states that it printed in KOREA, for the Taiwanese it states it printed in Taiwan. We also have the different labels, which is Kt music in Korea and Universal for Taiwan. We can also spot on the Taiwanese version a Chinese version of the song. So with all those elements, you can see which country's press this belongs! Do not scream "FAKE" because it doesn't have a Komca sticker without analyzing your album.

Now onto this Korean vs Thai press. I pick once again another Got7 album as JYP seems to produce different countries' press while keeping the same layout. Indeed the cover in many cases looks the same, just the back has some different details. As you can see, it says printed in KOREA for the Korean one and printed in Thailand for the Thai one. There's also the difference of labels, Kt music for instance for the Korean one,  and another one for the Thai one (sadly cannot see clearly because of image quality...), the bar code however is located at the same area. The Thai one has extra elements, it has a DVD as well, with a "Just Thailand special" as well that shows us once again that it is a Thai press (the two pictures do not belong to me, the Korean press comes from eBay, and the Thai one comes from a website found on google: boomerangshop). Of course the Korean press has the Komca sticker whilst the Thai press doesn't. So with all the details you can spot which press your album may come from.

I have only stated three different countries press: Japanese, Taiwanese and Thai presses, but I am sure there are other presses (such as Chinese, Hong Kong, perhaps Vietnamese or other Asian countries? Perhaps I will do more research and add those another day), but I have only thought of these ones on the spot. The most common non-Korean presses are the Japanese and Taiwanese presses as there is a large Kpop market over there, Thai press seems to be especially done by JYP.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope this blog entry was informative! Since there are no sources explaining about Komca stickers and other countries press albums, I hope this will be useful to the community.

Hello!

Here is a list (with some comments I have added) of GENUINE signed albums sellers and non genuine signed albums sellers!
I have been on eBay -a bit too long- so I've started to know who is legit and who's not. On the first glance with no experience, it is a tricky job and we tend to be fooled by the positive feedbacks the seller has and the amount of transactions he had, BUT people who have no real knowledge are the ones to get fooled and are unaware that they dealt with a scammer! I will only list the sellers' names, as for the links I am sure you can find them yourself! I will also write a little about sellers I have bought from.

This list only tells you whether X seller sells a genuine album. Sellers in the trustworthy section are 99% going to sell a genuine signed album (they are humans after all and mistakes may happen, they tend to make sure what they are selling is genuine, and it is possible they may sell a signed album by a manager - I have seen it a lot for Exo, so you'd have to analyze, like 1-2signatures can be from the actual members and the rest by the manager), and sellers in the untrustworthy section are selling fake signed albums. Whether the fake signed albums sellers does a good job or not sending/packing your order has nothing to do with this list, this list is just to tell you if you indeed bought something signed from them, it won't be genuine. If you have purchased something not signed, I won't know whether this seller does a good job being a simple seller.

TRUSTWORTHY (sells genuine)

May I state that the Exo signed albums of any of the ebay sellers are almost all signed by their managers. The sellers get them from trustworthy sources (broadcast) but it's just the managers' work. HOWEVER, some exo signed albums might be signed by both manager and exo members. Like for the EXO-CBX album, I have seen an album signed by Chen, and the other two members' signatures were signed by the manager. We can't control anything about that ):

I last ordered two signed albums from him 6 months ago, so I can't quite recall if it was sent in a bubble envelope or a box (I think it was a box?), and it was well protected, everything was damage free, bubble wrapper and some air bags if my memory is not too horrible (I regret not writing this earlier). The albums were protected in transparent sleeves, to avoid surely the two albums getting smashed together and getting their signatures printed onto the other one. He offers really good prices, I feel like he even offers lower prices than the general market majority of times. Overall: good protection, good service. His English is not perfect, but he will try to answer you the best he can.

Very professional seller, I bought once an album from him, and although I was surprised to see my album arrive in a bubble envelope, inside there was plenty of bubble wrapper, like a good 3-4 layers, and he also gave some fanmade goodies which is always a nice bonus to receive.

Mojasajo
Honestly one of my favorite ebay sellers, his English is very fluent, so there isn't any language barrier and he is very friendly, even when you have never purchased anything from him and sort of wasted his time! His packaging is really neat, with newspaper, and plenty of bubble wrapper, the quality and service is surely there! He also ships very quickly the orders!

PLEASE DO NO FORGET THAT SM ARTISTS ALBUMS ARE MOST LIKELY SIGNED BY MANAGERS. (so not signed by the idols themselves)

WEBSITE PLATFORMS

Mwave
The cheapest place and the most 100% secure place to buy from! This is a website of one of the broadcast stations korean singers go on: Mnet. There were several different opinions about their packaging, however I only received once a slightly damaged album out of the 456734257674 times I bought from them, but after that incident (it actually happened to me on my first purchase and the album only had one layer of bubble wrap and a poor cardboard), they always sent me packages with good cardboard and a good 2-3 layers of bubble wrap.
YesAsia
Only purchased once from them, I received my two albums in a bubble envelope with 2-3 layers inside as well, however one of the two albums arrived with several dents, technically in every borders, due surely to the fact that the album was not well enough packed and this album is more fragile due to its big size and weaker album packaging and design. Prices are a bit higher than Mwave, and you'd need to purchase more to get free shipping. I would only purchase there if the products are sold out on mwave.

Half/half (sells genuine and non-genuine)

A little more explanation about this one, there are several sellers that I knew about, some which I have placed on the legit seller list in the past (and in fact received comments saying that they were doubting about the legitimacy of certain albums, and I completely agreed!) , some which I never mentioned, and that is because these sellers do sell a good chunk of legit signed albums, however two/three albums end up not being genuine, especially I tend to see that is the case for SM signed albums (such as SNSD albums signed in some silver/gold pen by just one member with a C1 komca sticker... something is just not right). So I believe for this list of sellers, you'd have to be on the watch out? They are not as "legit" as the first category of legit sellers. I'd say for less popular groups you'd have less risk to fall on a non legit signed album whilst SM signed albums would be more likely to not be legit. Just be extra sure to analyze well the albums before purchasing one.

Feel free to comment asking whether a seller is a seller that is NOT listed here is selling genuine or non-genuine signed albums, I will take a look at what he is selling and will add him on the list according to which category he is.  HOWEVER, I would prefer not to add Facebook sellers, or some sellers that sell on a smaller scale as those people may not be the most experienced and may have bought genuine and non genuine signed albums without knowing and reselling. I do not wish to label them as non-trustworthy.

Hello!

Continuing with the series of "How to spot a fake xxx", this article shall be about how to spot BTS signed or autographed albums, but also any items like Q-cards or any other items. Oddly enough, I have succeeded in being able to recognize instantly whether a signed BTS item is legit or not, I guess my eyes have been trained! (BigHit should employ me hahaha -dies-) They'd actually be scared because that would sound like what a crazy obsessed fan would say ;_;
Not sure if I would continue writing other articles for other groups/artists, because I am confident as of now for BTS, since they are my bias group, and since I am a sucker that buys all their albums.... I wouldn't feel confident to keep track of other artists' as it requires time and it would become more work than some sort of passion.

BTS is one of the current group for which many fake albums seem to circulate around! Many fans may be rather young or lack the knowledge, and don't really know that indeed it is possible that a person may be so money hungry enough to fake signatures. Not everyone is honest and people are ready to fake signatures just for the money. This is why never trust fully strangers and please always make your research before purchasing anything. I hope with this "guide" many people will know how to spot fake signatures.

And before starting, I would like to state that I am simply a European fan, I am not Korean, I am not linked in any ways to big hit, so my knowledge is based on albums I have received from mwave or any other trustworthy platforms. This took quite some time before I managed to achieve this "capacity". I have managed with time to spot the difference between real and fake and am writing this to share with you. Many of the images taken do not belong to me and were taken simply as examples, they belong to their rightful owners.
Enough blabbering! Let's start.

The fact is, BTS signatures' have evolved throughout times. Rookies always have the nicest signatures, with details, and clean, but with time, they become more lazy because there's often more to sign and it is just impossible to have a signature with so many details if you need to sign 1000+ albums, for instance if they sell signed albums on mwave, which they did!

As for the signed random items like Q-cards, shirts, posters, or anything that is not album, you'd have to determine the "era" they were signed. Because a signed shirt during "No more dream" era wouldn't look the same as a "Run" era. Imagine someone states that this shirt was signed during the "run" era but in fact the signatures seem to match their older signatures during "no more dream" something is definitely fishy! f.a.k.e... ?

From the picture above, I selected things that were deemed official signatures. The first two pictures are from the photocards of my collection which come from the albums (School Luv Affair and HYYH2), and some pictures of the Kpop Bear Statue in Gangnam Seoul that a friend took (Her Twitter: link). Signatures such as those can be helpful when we are new and have no clue where to find pictures of signed signatures, but let's not forget that with time their signatures change (as you can see the difference between beg. 2014 and end 2015), and that the signatures they sign on albums are simplified, because they have to sign many times!

I actually own several signed BTS albums, sadly, since I am not at my apartment, I didn't take any picture, but I might add several pictures later on! edit: Some of my albums have been added as example!

So let's start with...... *drum rolls* 2 COOL 4 SKOOL. The first debut album!

2 COOL 4 SKOOL

So during the "2 COOL 4 SKOOL" album, where BTS debuted with No more dream, those albums come off as rarer in the market as they are older (as i'm writing this we are nearing 2016, and they debuted mid-2013, so 2.5 years ago!, there were fewer signed (not like HYYH pt.1 where for the m&g thousands of signed copies were sold), and most people aren't willing to sell them off!

But on some rare occasions, a person might sell it as they are no longer a fan, and it may pop out on any reselling platform such a eBay, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.
How to spot how it is fake?

Well from the debut until now, BTS has ALWAYS kepts the same "spot" to sign, very rarely they might mess up if they did a mistake, I only saw once that mistake where V and Jhope signed an album the other way around and the boys realized that half way, and they drew a heart in the middle of the album, sort of a "sorry".

So the order IS and IS ALWAYS:
Top left: Jin ; Top center: Rapmonster ; Top right: Suga ; Middle left: V ; Middle right: Jimin ; Bottom left: J-Hope ; Bottom right : Jungkook.
ALWAYS THAT ORDER.

For 2 COOL 4 SKOOL, they ALWAYS signed with the golden colored marker, so if you find a copy with a different color, WARNING. IT IS FAKE.

So here, we have on the right the real signatures and on the left the fake ones. I have decided to provide several examples in order for you to see how BTS's signatures variate a little. I will start off by analyzing the fake signatures:

 1. Honestly I will admit I am very lazy to pinpoint every details, but I shall do so very quickly on each signatures. Jinms signatures is way too broad, he takes less width to sign. Rapmonster's signature lacks the "bts" he used to always sign as well that during that era. And the signature seems more awkward, the flow does seem right. Suga's lower part of the "S" seems messed up, the !S" should, be quite generous and curved, but here it seems chopped off, and the lower part seems hesitating. V's signature lacks confidence, we can see it was not done very quickly, and is too rounded and he used to sign more clearly on the right "v" and I doubt he used to sign "BTS" on the left bottom part on those albums.  Jimin's signature looks not badly done, but it seems too broad.  J-hope's circle around his name seems very awkward , he does a sort of cloud during this era which doesn't seem to be done with confidence. For Jungkook's, the lower part of the "J", the curve is too big, way tooooooo big.

2. Jin's lower right curved line  is looking very odd. Rapmonster's signature lacks the two dots on the top middle and looks very weird. Suga's top part of the "S" is too rounded. V's  signature is not too well placed, I am sure he is not that dumb to not know how to place well his signature, his signature is a bit too much in the right.. Jimin's signature lacks the "BTS". J-hope's cloud looks somewhat awkward and the "J" doesn't even look like a J!  Jungkook's "J" is a big fat mess.the J is always done in one go, here it was done in two strikes.

3. The gold pen's color is odd. Like yellow birdy. Very odd.  Anyway when you just look at it it looks soooooo messy. All over the place. Rapmonster's signature was completely butchered into some weird looking thing. Suga's S is unrecognizable . V's signature looks more like a tornado rather than a 4 clover leaves (well v's signature reminded me of a delicates 4 clover leave drawing). Jimin's "BTS" is usually more below the rather than in the left. Jhope's cloud looks non existent and half done. We can't even read the "hope". Jungkook's "J" is too cursive, too much space inside the curves.

4. All signatures are in silver pen? Impossible. They ALWAYS signed in gold pen. No need to look any further, you can also compare with the real signatures, you can see the difference is flagrant.

5. A mixture of grey pen and silver pen? Impossible. None of the legit signatures are in silver. This is already a sign you should not look any further as this is definitely fake. And th signatures look nothing like the ones on the right, the scammer seems to have added details to make it look real, but those things don't exist in their signatures. Only people who have never seen their signatures would believe that those are legit.....

6. This attempt was close enough as the pen is the same, but the position is all wrong. There's also some details such as the lower part of suga's "S" being too small, Rap Monster's signature being too simplified, or even "BTS" added to V's signature when usually it is never there. Just the general feeling is simply wrong.

ORUL82

Now onto to the second mini album! The signatures haven't drastically changed, as it was only a few months differences, but we can start to see that Jhope and Jungkook have started to become a bit more 'lazy" with their signatures. Jhope starts to sometimes not draw anymore the cloud as much, it is very random, sometimes it is just a curved line or a cloud. And sometimes he even doesn't finish the "hope" and only writes "ho". As for Jungkook, he started to simplify, it used to be "Jungkook golden BTS" and now it becomes sort of "Jkook gold BTS" from what I can see!

The order is still the same as I mentioned previously.

Those albums are a bit more available compared to the previous one, but still rare nevertheless because they are 2 years old! Those were available for sale as well on Soompi and Mwave, for a rather cheap price (something along the lines of 13$) but were limited it seems to a few hundred copies on each website.

So once again we shall analyze the fake signatures. The key to really spot a fake signature is to compare it with a genuine.

1. So first of all, some signatures are not well placed, Rapmonster's (?) signature is like centered in the middle of the album which would never happen (unless he was drunk while signing this?) and it looks like a weird scribble? Jin's signature lacks the two dots on the top right. The "s" and "j" usually never touch each other. Suga's "s" doesn't even look like an "s" and we can't see somehow the usually "BTS". V's signature is not cursive enough. Jimin's signature lack the "BTS".  Jhope's signature is a hot mess, the "BTS' doesn't even look like "BTS". The j looks odd and the rest of the signature as well....

2. Wouuuuuuh. What a hot mess there! Jhope's signature in the top left? V's (?) signature on the top right? When you see this order you just know this is sooooo wrong and then the signatures look like nothing right? And there's only 6 signatures here, Jimin's signature is missing? Just compare and your eyes will bleed seeing how fake this is.

3. Rapmonster's signature misses the "BTS".  Suga's lower part signature is rather long and seems just like unnecessary scribbles. V's right curve is too stretched out, it should be more rounded. V's signature is also too much in the right. Not well placed. Jhope's as well is too far in the right. Jhope's circle or cloud just very odd the 'J' looks very unusual and the "h" is unfinished.

4. This is a poster, and I wanted to show that even posters can be fake. Signatures don't any of the members. The alleged Suga signature is on top of Jimin, v's signature is in Jhope, Jhope's signature is on V,  Jimin's signature Iis on Suga.... I guess the scammer can't tell them apart lol. And all the signatures look like nothing. Just compare. It is just weird scribbles.

Bonus: Jimin holding one of their signed albums! What better proof than the person himself show it?

SKOOL LUV AFFAIR

The albums are still a bit rare but are a bit easier to find compared to ORUL82. The boys's signatures have evolved, Rapmonster no longer signs with "BTS", he got lazy I guess. Jhope seems to have given up the "pe" of his name. Jungkook seems to have given up on the "gold" part of his signature and only signs "BTS" it seems to be more confusing what he is signing.

So let's move onto the signatures one by one again!

1.  The signatures are not well placed, normally they have a well defined spot (unless they are drunk which I highly doubt) Rapmonster's signature is far too low, and the two dots are missing, the signature lacks fluidity. Honestly Rapmonster's signature is so unique, it is really hard to imitate his signature because only him can do it which such fluitidity. Suga has actually a star in his signature, but he actually only did a star during the debut era, and even sometimes it ended up looking more like a ball or a circle because he ended up being lazy doing a star everything. The BTS is far too but, and his "b" never looks like that. V's signature is far too stretched out and lacks more cursive parts. Jhope's signature is too small the circle should not be that tight. Jungkook's signature looks very unorganized.

2. THE SIGNATURES NEED TO BE WELL PLACED AT THE CORNERS. they are too close to the center. Jin's signatures lacks the three dots. Rapmonster's lacks cursive at the beginning. Suga's signature looks like nothing, we can't even see the "S", which is the main core of his signature. V's signature looks like random cursive lines. Jimin's signature was completely destroyed and looks like nothing. Jhope's signature is just a dribbles, we can't even see the "BTS" or even the "JHo" which is the main core of the signature.  Jungkook's signature also was destroyed.

3. For this one we can just tell this was signed by the same person as the pressure applied is the same, and the pen used is not the same they use to sign all the albums. Not the same type of pen. This pen seems to be able to get erased, not a marker. Plus the pen they usually use has some sort of reflection, hence why the quality of the signatures is not the best to compare because of all the reflections of the real pen. Rapmonster's signatures looks too shy, like s shy girl trying to sign and it has the BTS which he already doesn't use anymore ever since this era. Jhope's signature is a big given as well because the BTS is way too small, the circle is way to straight and clean, Jhope doesn't do it that cleanly. And Jungkook's signature is more done with character, this is done shyly.

4. The members' signatures are not positioned well in the corners. J-Hope's circle is not big enough and is too oval. V's signature is missing the upper curve, it is just a line here, impossible! Jungkook has a weird curve added. Suga's lower curve of his " S" is too small, not well curved. Rap monster's signature is missing the two upper dots and isn't done with confidence. etc.

DARK&WILD

Then for dark & wild, honestly this is one of the albums that was really available. So many signed copies were sold. Over 60 pages on mwave were sold, and on each page there's 49 copies. So you do the maths, I don,t have a calculator to do that (60x49=?) hence this album comes off as not too expensive, but it is slowly starting to be less resent int the market and prices start to go a bit higher because it is an album that is a year old (as of end 2015). Most people who sell them are legit, because since there were soooooo many copies sold, it was very easy to get a hold off, on mwave it was sold for like 20$ or so? The price of the album. So why bother buying an unsigned album and fake sign it when you can have a real one for the same price and not bother to fake sign it? Anyway there are still fake ones circulating, sold by the same fake sellers.

The boys signatures have still evolved. Jhope's "BTS" has become messier, more linked and not as clear, and he signs in GENERAL "Jh" on rare occasions with a "hope" if he is not too tired. Jin also became tired ): it seems like his signature is much make squished, we can't truly distinguish anymore his dots, he used to have one more in the center and two together on the top right. Suga seriously gave up any circles he used to make in the top-middle right.

Let's goooooooo:

1. Rapmonster's signature is a big given no two dots as he usually does, like it just became a "C" his signature sort of? Nothing like his usual one. Suga's S doesn't really look like an "s" anymore. A weird cursive. V's signature is far too low, it needs to be exactly at the same level as the title "dark&wild". And it just looks like some random scribble. Jimin's signature is far too much in the left, and not well placed, and the sort of tree he does is gone (like you know on his right he does a sort of tree, an l or is it actually a J ? I actually never really knew what his signature stood for unlike the others- Jimin is such a mystery to me!) , and we also can't see the "BTS".  Jhope's signature is centered bottom when he is usually ALWAYS bottom left. And it seems like it's an "A" in this one? Like hm no, it's suppose to be a "Jh" on the normal one. Jungkook's J is much more rounded than this.

2. I wouldn't look any further and you'd just see the signatures look like nothing they usually do. People always give the excuse "ah they might have been tired so their signatures look different" even if they are tired..... The signatures wouldn't look like THAT, completely different! Edit of 6.2.16 the cover of the booklet could have been signed BUT that was only possible during the red bullet fansign in Singapore (not sure of other locations) the color of the pen is silver, and I would suggest you to ask the seller proof he attended that fansign.

3. The color of the pen looks funny.... A bit too smile fish? Normally it should be a bit whiter..... And then Rapmonster's signature looks very odd, there's usually nothing that circles the two dots. Suga's lower part of the signature looks massive and too wide. And it seems to have unnecessary scribble. V's signature looks like it was done with latience, he doesn't have time! He needs to sign several copies! This is done too neatly! Jimin's signature also looks too neat, and the sort of right part is not tall enough! Too short! Jhope's signature is not done with confidence,4 he "Jhope" looks too weird, it is not his usual handwriting but I have to admit the BTS part was well done.... Jungkook's signature is a hot mess, just a lot of scribbles after the "J"! Looks nothing like that!

4. Let me tell you that most fake signatures are done with golden pen.... Apart from a few exceptions. Golden colored pen are the best friends of scammers!!! The signatures are in the wrong position, and all over the place and look nothing like their usual signatures. I don't need to pinpoint everything to you right?

Bonus: BTS promoting their signed albums via KBS and mwave

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN LIFE PT1 ; HYYh pt.1 ; 화양연화 pt.1

Now onto this album! Interesting fact to know is that all the white version signed by all members on the cover of the album are ONLY promo albums, you wouldn't find any mwave white version all member signed! Or yesasia! (edit 23.2.16: actually very very few non promo white signed are floating around, not quite sure of the provenance, but seems like one came from a Japanese event, anyway in any cases you can only use your eyes to spot the signatures) But you could find individual members signed on the white version, for instance I had a Jhope and Suga signed white versions from mwave. And for the pink version, you can find them as promo albums or mwave ones. But the fact is all member signed was a tiny bit harder to obtain directly from mwave, because only 7/49 people could get all member signed, so technically 1/7 of chance to get it all signed.

And *drum rolls* yes their signatures.... Worsened! Ah they are getting more tired!  Especially Jhope and Jungkook is seems to be messier and not as clean as before. They tried to simplify their signatures! But I have to say Jungkook's signature is not as messy if he signed individual on an album than if he signed with all member signed. V's signature also is not as elegant as before, looks a bit messier, and a bit smaller eh??? And Jhope's "h" seems to have decided to go out of the circle from time to time, the "h" has become a bit naughty! Suga's lower part seems to have even more simplified, we can no longer distinguish that those scribbles used to be "BTS" in the past.... :p Jimin has simplified a lot more his signature! No longer very well down up and down. More like very quickly done waves. Not sure if you can understand what I mean?

Let's analyze once again the fake signatures! :

1. The signatures all over the place, not in their proper position. I would say: stop looking any further this is fake. The boys aren't drunk enough to mess up the spot they usually sign! Jin's signature spot and Rapmonster's has been inverted. Suga's "s" looks like brining. V's is too rounded. Jimin has weird scribbles that din,t exist, Jhope's circle doesn't do a full circle, it only surround from the bottom left to the bottom right. And he usually has two lines on the bottom!  Jungkook's j is not rounded enough in the lower part!

2. Rapmonster's legendary signature looks nothing like as butchered into some weird scribble (but I have to say props to Rapmonster for keep his signature almost always the same since the debut and still looking very nice). Suga's lower part has too many scribbles. V's signature has ugly cursive. And looks like a kid drew that. Jungkook's signature has is too broad and flattened.

3. Ohhhhhhhhhh. When you see this, you feel like it was the same person who signed this! Done very quickly in a gross manner. As if a kid signed it. The Rapmonster signature lacks the pointiness of the bottom lines. Suga's "s" doesn't look like a "S". V's signature doesn't have the "BTS" when he signs albums..... Jimin's horizontal line looks like weird scribbles and he doesn't sign anymore "BTS" as well. Jhope's circle looks very odd and it is just not his handwriting.

4. The last example is a signed page in the booklet of the album. Impossible. Because if they were to sign in the booklet, they would have all their individual pages, and this would be done during a fansign. All the non fansign albums were signed on the cover of the album. The signatures looks nothing like the ones that I showed you in the right.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN LIFE PT2 ; hyyh pt.2 ; 화양연화 pt.2

Now onto the 2nd chapter of the HYYH serie! Seems oddly that there's not a lot of the copies floating around? I am guessing big hit did not promote a lot this album in broadcast stations since BTS has already got a high popularity.

edit 23.2.16: Back in December and January, only signed peach promo were circulating around. However in the recent days, some blue signed have popped out. I am still unclear whether those are only promo albums, but it seems there's also C1 ones out there. So, honestly you truly need to spot whether it is genuine according to the signatures. I have compiled Peach and Blue.

And the members..... Have become even more tired! Jhope especially! Wow when you compare debut versus now you can see a big difference! Jin is not as cramped as before but we can see his signature was done in a few strokes, not as clean and elaborated as it used to be in the past. Rapmonster has given up on doing the two legendary dots on the top middle part of his signature (well on rare cases it still appears). Suga seems to only be signing a "S" along with a sort of "B" and a horizontal line? V still seems to have kept a good bunch of his old signature, just signed a bit messy.  Jimin's little thing on the top left is now closer to his main part of his signature, it used to be higher in the past, and he simplified it as well. Jhope's signature...... What is that now??? I am guessing it is just a "B" a very squished "J" and a spike that used to be an "h" in the past? Jungkook doesn't seem to have changed too much ever since HYYH pt1, maybe some strokes that have disappeared?

Fake signatures weren't too late into the party!

1. I have to a admit, the fake signer did a pretty good job, but the placement of the signature is not too well done. Especially for Jimin and V. Far too close from the center! Rapmonster's signature looks odd, not done with ease. The "s" of Suga is very odd.... Let's not forget that the "s" is the core of the signature! And Suga simplified much more his signature, all those scribbles just makes it so much less legit. V's curves are too broad, and the start the the curve is far too centered and too high. Jimin's right part, the sort J or tree is not high enough. Jhope has simplified his signature.... So too much going inside the circle!

2. The pen used is too thin..... The signatures are not well placed, they don't correspond to the usually spot. Suga's signature was butchered and looks like nothing, Jimin's as well is very odd. Jhope's signature looks like scribbles of circles, and Jungkook's j is not cursive enough. Just looking at it just screams FAKE.

3. The signatures are so tinny! It seems like it was a girl who tried to copy, all the signatures are neat and cramped, and all of the same style. You can see for instance that Jungkook's signature is half the size it should be! The pen used seems a bit too thick. Anyway just by comparison you can see the fakeness just pops out

Now onto the blue signed versions, suddenly they all popped out of nowhere (need to get myself a copy as well without being ripped off!), here we go:

1. The signatures are not well placed, especially V's and Jimin's, they are too close from the center.  Jimin's signature is too wide, Suga's is too complicated and his 'S' looks weird shaped on the bottom part, Rap Monster's signature is always the hardest one to copy, and it's missing the deep pike at the bottom. v's signature is supposed to be more cursive and here it seems too cramped. Anyway just by comparing you can see how off it is.

2. The signatures are too big! The boys always have similar signature sizes whenever they sign, they got trained to! Once again V's and Jimin's signature are too close to the center, they are suppose to be close to the border. Rap Monster's and Suga's as well are too far from the border. Rap Monster's signature is missing several of his strokes.

3. The person tried to copy the boys' old signatures...... Not working. Jin's signature looks very odd as well as Rapmonster. The placement is completely wrong, they are far too close to the center. They are suppose to be well close to the borders. V's signature is not done with confidence. It also is not suppose to have BTS written as well. Jimin doesn't write BTS anymore and here there it is. Jhope doesn't do the cloud anymore cleanly, he does a circle, and this is way too clean, he simplified much more the inside of the circle! And Jungkook's as well looks very messy and too complicated, he simplified that!

NOTICE: This guide has been cut in two, another article is published with Young Forever, Wings and YNWA on it  as due to the large amount of pictures, my computer freezes more and I am sure that for people with slower internet the page must be taking ages to load!

LINK OF SECOND PART OF THE GUIDE

So there you go, I have tried to analyze BTS's signatures. This just shows that there's too many scammers out there and we need to be cautious. I would also advise you to check out my other "guide", which is "how to spot a fake signed / autographed kpop album" as this guide is more about the boys's signatures, and the other guide will help you more as well to give you a general idea... Such as the komca sticker or what not.
This took quite some time to write, and as I am writing this my fingers are a bit dead, so I would appreciate if you would not plagiarize this out of respect All pictures were taken from various platforms, I do not own the pictures apart from a few that come from my collection. Otherwise they belong to their rightful owners.
I will surely update this article if there's any new informations, if you feel like some of the stuff I wrote are wrong, and for future comebacks, as I am sure the boys' signature will continue to evolve! (And also there's the repackage edition of SKOOL LUV AFFAIR which I didn't add but if one day I feel really bored and I am very motivated to add it, I will add it as well!)
I hope this will help out some fellow ARMYs ~
